Default Motorcycle lifts

Has anyone used one of these small 1500 lb motorcyle lifts to get their bike off the ground so it can be moved into tight places? My questions are: How easy is it to use? What are the odds of dumping your $20,000 scoot.

I use mine all the time. The key, IMO, is to buy a good, sturdy jack. I bought a Dunwell and it was worth every penny of the approx $400 I paid for it. I can do anything I want with the bike on the jack. The other day I removed the front wheel with no problems. It didn't even move.

I would never use one of the hundred dollar jacks again. I tried that first and while they work it's not worth the risk.

I bought mine at Sams Club also. $79.00 dollars on sale. It came with an ATV adapter and tie downs. The key to using the floor jacks are to tie your bike to the jack. The frame on the Ultra has slight curves in the bottom and you have to have your bike on there just so. Make sure you tie it down and you should be fine. I have never rolled mine when it's on the jack, but I would say that the stell wheels that are on the jack should be able to support the bike rolling on the jack. Remember, that if you buy $20,000 dollars worth of bike, you need to have $20,000 dollars worth of trust in your lift. If space is a problem , they make a dolly that you can put your bike on and roll it all over the place without worrying if it's going to fall off. Check the back of all the bike mags. They list it in there for about $300. dollars.

Good luck.

I bought the Dunwell. www.Dunwelllifts.com

Used it to change my rear tire. Very stable.

I climbed up on the bike, 05 RK while is was on the jack....no problem. I used it to help in getting my highway pegs adjusted.

Quality is remembered long after price is forgotten.
