Heated grips or insert style grid?

Heated grips or insert style grid?
Putting new bars on so might as well do heated grips for the cold Mn rides. Anyone installed the style heater that fits inside the bar and you can use any grip you want? If so how well do they work ?

I bought some Aerostitch Wraps a few years ago. They work really good. Only have two heat settings, though. (warm and HOT)
You install the connectors either through bike wiring or off battery terminals.
You can take them off in warm riding months and you're not tied to certain hand grips either.
