Default Compression questions???

I recently did the 106 build with Andrews 57 cam and rush wrath, ss quickie pushrods, ss Lifters I just got around to doing a compression test and got 180 in both front and rear. On the bigboyzheads I put my setup in and should be getting close to 200. I'm thinking it's a pushrod adjustment, stretched timing chain not sure. But since the compression is even I don't think I'm off a tooth curious to hear your thoughts. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have manual releases. They are in the up position during the test.

It's not a pushrod issue, I doubt the timing chain as well.
There's nothing wrong with 180 psi- don't get too caught up in the internet tuners saying you gotta have 200 psi.
Maybe its just the gauge? I have 2 compression gauges. Both have about a foot of hose, one has a schrader valve right at the plug threads, the other has the schrader at the gauge and nothing at the plug threads.
Because of the volume of air in the hose, the one without the schrader at the plug threads always reads about 20 lbs less.

I see no problems here. As long as they are pretty much equal, all is good. I've never heard of a timing chain on a Twinkie stretching enough to cause a problem, plus I don't think it would impact compression if it did...it'd have to be pretty dern sloppy!

So, relax, all is well, methinks...ride that puppy!

Thanks for the responses.

There's around 600-700 miles on this build. Both cylinders are right at 180 within 5 of each other. After putting the information in the calculator a 15 to 20 difference sounds like something Is wrong. I'm currently stationed in Hawaii so the sea level factor went out of the equation....

Thanks for the vote of confidence Im starting to think the gauge maybe off. Just checking all my odds and ends to make sure everything adds up.

Did you have the barrels off ? And if so, did you put new rings on the pistons ? Sometimes a detail in the story is missed, just trying to help you my friend.

Your cylinder cc measurements could be off, Or the intake cam could be off...
