I'm normally between 210 - 240 depending on traffic and the temp. outside......and of course how I'm riding.

Normal temp for mine is 230. It'll get as high as 260 in slow speed traffic and stop & go.

It is what it is. What does it run your car?

I was running 245 or so after a hard ride. I added the HD oil cooler and the pipes, A/C, and Fuelpak and I don't think I have see anything over 220 deg since the mods. In my opinion in 90 deg heat I don't want my bike running over 220 deg and that's with some stop and go traffic. If I check the temp right after I pull of the hwy itusually shows 205 to 210 in 90 deg heat.

The service manual states the normal operating temp is 230.

170 - 240. Depends on factors like ambient temp., speed, type of oil, and how lean/rich your MAP is.

I with you on this one . . . I wish I'd never installed that dad-blame oil temp guage to begin with.[sm=badidea.gif]
