Default Pass backrest FLHX?

I want to get a removable passenger backrest for my StreetgLide. I do not plan on adding a tourpack or luggage rack. I am ssuming all I will need to buy is the following: Bakrest pad, Upright and docking hardware. Am I missing anything else? any help is appreciated

Well worth it. My wife loves it (makes her feel much more comfortable). The big test will be next weekend when we ride up to Laconia.

My only advice would be to use the instructions as a reference, not a guide. If you plan on doing this yourself, do what looks right. It will work. I did this by the book then threw the book away after several times asking myself what the f..k??? Wife likes it...on and off in a jiffy.

I put one on my bike last month. Make sure you have some way of grinding downbolts, have a rat-tail file handy to enlarge and enlongate some bracketry and you will be fine. I agree with Skydriver, take your time and look at the photos then throw away the instructions-they suck. Plan on dry fitting a few times before final wrenching. Don't forget to use Locktite. I had nearly a hand full of nuts and bolts left over from the kit so don't weird out thinking you forgot something.

well according to Harley you need the kit to mount the pad to the back rest.
kinda sucks they get you every where..

I have one for my SG as well, you may also want to add the chrome piece that goes on the back of the pad ads a nice touch, I think they only offer 2 or 3 styles for the 3 bolt SG pads.
