I bought an 01 Ultra that had a V&H Pro Pipe on it. I hated the looks, went to V&H true dual head pipes with Samson mufflers and the bike was a DOG! Had it dyno tuned, 62 hp 68tq. Went back to the Pro Pipe, dyno at 71hp 81tq. (TC88 with PCIII and K&N A/C) The numbers don't lie! The mufler is blue and gold, however. I'm still not keen on the looks, but I can't see my pipe when I'm going down the road...
I went with the Bassani 2-1 Road Rage. Don't really care for the looks of it, but can't see it while I'm riding. Love the bottom end power i picked up. Free shipping here. http://www.gopartsdirect.com/2005/it...;Placeholder=0
Check out V&h and Bassani Techs. I did. I even got in touch with Bassani engeneering. If cubic inch is in acess of 95 both work the same if you run performance mufflers on the tru-dual. But if you don't mind your bike looking like ****....get the 2-1.

I don't agree that it looks like ****, I actually like the looks of a 2-1 on a bagger, it has a high tech performance look IMHO.
I actually think true duals are ugly myself, the gaping hole behind the rear cylinder looks like something fell off to me. They also mark you as somebody who only cares about looks/sound rather than performance (IE: you're a poser to the true performance guys)
I have dyno'ed a # of bikes (I have been a Harley motor builder for over 30 years & rode a Pro-stock Harley for a # of years) both stock & 95" & more & 2-1 is the only way to go if you want performance.
Another vote for the supertrapp supermeg all the power without having a headache after 4 or 5 hours in the saddle it is plenty loud from behind but at 60 the wind is louder than the pipe from the saddle. don't worry about the looks if any one complains twist the wick and they wont have to look at them without binoculars[sm=escape.gif]
