On the Thundermax w/auto turner for 07 EGC. Went to the website and looked at the installation manual and got myself confused (easy to do)..
I don't have a laptop, and installation manual has about 14 pages on how to load base map with their smartlink software, opening files, saving to harddrive, traferring files, adjusting settings, etc. I thought it was more a plug n' play deal.... I am not a tuner, nor a computer geek who understands all this stuff (I can barely post on these boards!!!)...
Do I need a laptop to install, do I need all this computer knowledge to set it up?? (Guessing the manual was for a pre 07 TM w/autotune, but manual wasn't clear if it was for all models or pre 07 or without auto tune feature....sigh... any help out there?
i have a DTT...i feel it would be best for you to have a computer able to patch/interface with the bike...i'm no techo guy either and mostly havta get PhilM to walk me thru it...he also runs a DTT...we both understand(many others here also) the DTT...you'll do fine with the TMax, i hear its a fine product
