Dalton to 1292: "I'll lend you a prybar to get your foot outta your mouth." LMAO. He should be a member of my local HOG chapter--there can't be $1,000 of non-stock "the day they bought the bike" HD or aftermarket parts and accessories (excluding slip-on mufflers) on 99% their rides. Nothing wrong with that, but they can't believe someone would actually turn a wrench on their own bike, let alone remove body parts for a custom paint job and put the parts back on.
I already voted for you, Dalton, and your bike looks fantastic--a more than deserving winner of BOTM.
I have no problem with those that are not mechanically inclined paying to have work done. But for someone to accuse me of doing that just got my goat. This is my baby, built from the crankcase up, including the tuning system . The only thing I didn't do is lay down the paint itself. I know my limits.
yea the new crop of guys dont seem to have the rules down yet....they's kinda lippy...one's even in his early 20's, i got a kid older'n him ....i gotta list of $hithead members tho, i'll share it if ya like
Yeah, I can just imagine who is on the list. I am relatively new to the forum myself, but know when to speak up, and when to sit back and read.
I am fortunate growing up around hotrods, racecars and streetrods, and knowing how to wrench. For those not so lucky, I understand, but for someone to spout off without knowing the facts, it just grinds my a$$.
If he doesn't like my bike, vote for another, that is why it is called a "contest". and not called a "p!ssing match".
I may be shooting myself in the foot with these comments, but there are a great bunch of guys and girls on this forum, and some of them have even voted for my bike-Thanks
Thanks icemAN and xbt2, the race is really heating up, need more people to get in there and vote !!
Every time I pull out to what is a "comfortable" lead, the competition reels me back in. Good contest!
