Default Financing question

Somebody had told me that you can buy a Harley privately, not from the dealer, but get financing through the dealer. Does anybody know about this? Thank you very much

You can go online and see rider to rider financing and mention the dealer you want to use not sure if it's competitive but I'm pretty sure there will be few surprises and one more way to get you to Harley shop.

You would be better off with a credit union or personal bank. Eagle mark is not the cheapest date in town. You can still purchase from private seller with your bank or credit union.

HDFS/Eaglemark will indeed finance a sale and purchase of a used HD. However, it's almost a lock that the interest rate will not be competitive. Make sure you shop around before signing on the dotted line.

If I understand, the dealer also charges a fee in addition to what may or may not be a competitive interest rate.

Harley use to, and changed their policy about 2 or 3 years ago. Yep, go thru your local credit union is your best bet.

Never ever finance a hobby unless you are so rich, you are making more money on your money than the interest it is going to cost.

But never let them know you have cash. Just play their game right up to the end for the best deal.

It's okay to pay little more if you are in tough situation just be responsible not every one can afford to pay cash for everything and same goes for getting qualify to get lower interest. Do the calculation responsibly without getting in financial trouble enjoy what you want now.

Bingo on not financing. So many great bikes. Get slightly older and buy cash. Nobody can take it away.

Yes, I believe it's regulated that someone has to post about paying cash in any financing thread. Don't hate the player, hate the game.
