Thanks to everyone who gave me inputs on my various exhaust/intake/power commander/race tuner questions. Decided to go ahead and pull the trigger...I take the bike in for its 1K service on Monday, while it's in the shop, they're gonna put V&H dresser dual headers with V&H Classic slip-ons...and the SE stage 1 breather kit.
I'm jazzed! Can't wait to fire her up next Tuesday! My neighbors are gonna love me when I leave for work (a.k.a. PT) at 0530 Wednesday morning!
I put Vance and Hines slash cut on mine. Sounds good. Not too loud, but you can hear it when you get on it. I'm thinking on the True Duals, but not sure yet.
Yeah Slade, its a hoot, especially when you dont even have to rap the throttle. My alltime favorite was a run to the top of a 4 story parking structure with about 6 friends, the grins on the parking attendants at the bottom was priceless. If I remember right they even comped us.
Not to stray too far from the subject...but about 13 years ago I had an old 1972 Ford F-100, 302 small block w/ headers and cherry bombs. I lived in post housing, Fort Knox, KY. I used to set off some poor guy's car alarm with that truck every morning for about a year. He either moved or tweaked his alarm...I can't remember which. Funny stuff, tho.
