Hey everyone, Ive got a head scratcher here, My bike shut down on me at a stoplight and I had to have her towed home after 2 hours of roadside tinkering.
It will turn over strong but will not fire without the help of ether, The Fuel pump is good and I just got done replacing the Fuel Filter and I also changed the pressure regulator housing while I was in there for good measure just because there was a factory recall on them in 08'. I have fuel to the main line and good pressure and fire when there is fuel WTF. I have had issues with the temp sensor on the throttle body at times but a good cleaning and all is well. I have already checked fuses as well and all wiring going to the power commander.
I literally just replaced it 2 hours ago, Im aware the starting system is the same I just didnt know if someone knew of quirk that had to do with wire routing in the touring models.
Check the "L" shaped fitting on the fuel line, where it goes into the tank, for wear in the groove from the 3 check ***** in the quick release valve. If you have wear then the line can pull far enough away to close the one way valve and shut the fuel off. It happened to me riding down the road and had to get it towed home. Harley has a different fuel line for it now.

Was it working before you changed it parts?
If it was not sure why you started this thread.
You did put gas back in it?
I replaced everything inside tank this year. Not sure what would fail, but maybe hose came off. Seems unlkely, so quick, but maybe when putting it in.
