Default Ohlins Shocks question

Hi I bought the Ohlins Shocks for my 15 SGS. Question. After installing and adjusting. Finding the ride much better. My wife wanted to go out on the bike yesterday. Went to install the backrest and it doesn't fit. I think it's hitting the Shocks. Anyone have this problem.

I made it work. Took a grinder to the bottom of the backrest where it fits by the shocks. Ground it down just about a 1/8 to 1/4". And that let it click into the back part. All set thanks. A little Magayver magic

I have the 2-2bs I had to grind my backrest also, did not know it was hitting until one day Was washing bike and saw these grooves on the top of my shocks I soon figured out that the backrest bracket was rubbing the top of the shocks. A little grinding and all was fine

Are the Ohlins truly a lot better to the stock ones? I have '05 ultra classic and am looking for ones that are smoother then the stock ones.

If I remember correctly, I used the spacers to drop the mufflers down so the swingarm would clear....

I had to grind about 1/8" off the bottom of my backrest bracket to clear the #2-#2a shocks. I know I installed the shocks correctly, I'm a sub-genius.

Didn't use the spacers. Said they where for Exhaust clearance. Ground down the backrest just a little with a grinder. No issues.

And Yes they make the ride that much better. But keep in mind a pot hole is a pot hole. Nothing will soak that up.
