There are so many blacks it's not funny. (That doesn't sound right?) Some have a little blue. Some a little grey. Some a little... Very few vehicles are 100%, zero color black.
I bought the touch up kit from HD for vivid black to touch up a saddle bag. Cant see where done after rubbing out with compound. Vivid black is not a constant off the shelf black

For 1975 GM code 27 white there are 17 different variances of that (1) color. [I painted cars for 38 years]
Axalta code 99 matches vivid black perfectly. If you 're using PPG the strong black toner DMD1683 is vivid black, just need to have the base binder added to make it "base coat".
