Default 4 point docking hardware

Is there a difference between the 4 point detachable docking brackets for 97-08 and 09 and on? I bought a mounting rack for a tour pack but it just will not line up enough to lock on my 09 Road King Classic. The tour pack was on pre 09 bike and so were the 4 point docking brackets. The brackets bolted on the bike perfectly but will not align enough to let the detachable mounting rack lock into place. Plus the holes in the mounting rack are not the same as in the tour pack. BTW the mounting rack is a Chinese Amazon piece not HD

I would think there is, the 09 up frames are different, wider rear tires, etc

Im aware of the frame changes but would that affect the docking hardware? The docking brackets are from a pre 09 bike but they bolt on perfectly.

Um, well, yes. Wider rear tire, etc. Thats why parts specify 09-up.
