Default CB Module install fail

So after double checking parts numbers and ordering the CB module for my 2016 FLTRU, I get it all installed and go to connect the module to the harness and the couplers do not mate. I cannot find any other connector that is open and matches the female end of the module. Ideas? See attached picture and you will see that the ears on one connector are not symmetric with the other. I did not see this until I tried to mate them.

There are two 12 pin connectors in there, one is for the CB module, one is for P&A audio connections. It looks like HD made sure you can't plug into the wrong one. Unfortunately I can't offer a suggestion as to where the right one is. This will tell you the wire colors on the two connectors...

It may also be possible that since the bike didn't come stock with a CB you need an extra harness of some sort?

Good luck,

Well if #4 is the CB antenna, and that CB antenna is plugging into the CB unit itself, then I'd have to agree that it looks like 1 & 2 are mismarked in the manual (page 7-83)... but it's just for reference, that's obviously a batwing in the example, because you can see the back of a gauge cluster near the top that's not there on our shark nose. Also on page 7-71 of the manual it's shows those same two connectors marked the opposite and with the one that says "CB connector" is actually going to the CB in that one... see below. But it shows you where the connector is and you'll know you got the right one by the pin-out and physically the connector will fit.

The HD "Bike to Bike Communications Kit"... or a CB module for a 16 RGU is part number 76000486A

I installed a CB in my 2014 and if I remember right the connectors are the same color, black to black, tan to tan. The manual is WRONG. Here's a link to the full install, take either the MS Word doc or the PDF file, or both if you like. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/jtrrw1x16...RAqoFshia?dl=0
