Giving up my 05 FLHRCI for a 16 FLHTK,
I am looking for information about my security system.
My bike came with just one key, no fob's and not much else.
I would like to change the Pin number, marry two gobs and activate the alarm system
Can someone let me know how to get this done please

Not even an owner's manual came with the bike? If you're comfortable using the Internet (and I'm learning that lots of adults aren't), you can go to the Harley Davidson website and view an owner's manual for free. If you are NOT comfortable with the Internet, then you're going to want to go the the dealership and acquire an owner's manual. There is a LOT of information in there that you're going to want and/or need.

I believe you will have to have a FOB to change the PIN. The dealer should be able to set you up with FOBs and another key. They are surprisingly inexpensive compared to most other vehicles.

AFAIK the 2016 FLHTK has the security system as standard equipment. Are you entering a PIN everytime you need to start the bike? If the bike is starting without the PIN then either a fob is nearby (in saddlebag, dash cubby) or the security system was never enabled. In either event, you will have to bring the bike to a dealer for them to marry any new fobs to the bike.
As already mentioned, read the manual.

Yeah what he said!

Interesting first post.

Probably need to visit your local dealer. I really don't understand how you are riding now. Did someone give you the pin and you enter it each time?

I just found an owners manual on ebay, I think the security system has been disabled so I can use the motorcycle
I had purchased the motorcycle from a business that is not a HD dealer

You can read/download the owners manual for free from the Harley-Davidson web page.

You can get replacement keys from Harley with just your vin. As well duplicates cut by any key maker with the right cutter (most locksmiths will have it).

You can find the installation instructions for the alarm by searching the part number or description. Check the module on your bike, you might already have the alarm installed and just need to set it up as per the instructions.

When new your bike came with two keys, I'm pretty certain of that - all mine have. So someone out there has the other key, by the sound of it. Read your handbook when you get it and confirm that your bike has a security system fitted. You may be able to do that by registering your bike via the H-D website, which will give you details of your bike's original spec.

I may not be updated with all the new fangled fun on the newer bikes........but isn't the keys just for access to your fuel door, saddlebags, and tourpak plus ignition lock?

I'd be more concerned with no fobs and a disabled security system! I'm assuming and HOPING your using the key to lock the ignition so it can't be rotated to start?

Getting that security system enabled and new fobs would be first on my list. A 2016 might look very tempting sitting there to someone who can start it without a fob!

A trip to the dealer is the best I think! Enjoy your new scoot!
