Wouldn't this just make the boards drag easier? Heck, I scrape mine enough as it is....
What is the "benefit" of this? Why is it better, if you don't need ot for exhaust clearence?

I find that with the spacers installed it puts my feet in a more comfortable position and my legs arent draging on the tank all the time. I also like being able to have my heel on the board and my toes on my highway pegs.
Hey all, I just checked Soos's link on his spacers. I noticed that he has the 3/4 inch AND a 1 in. spacer. I have only beenreading people here buying the 3/4 in. Has anyone purchased the 1 in.? and if so how did they feel? are people not buying the 1in for any specific reason?
I made some extensions out of steel spacers....you have to find some to fit around the kickstand, or drill out a piece of aluminum blank.....but all the parts are around $20.00........I made mine 1" ....it is more comfortable.....

Yes, they will make the floorboards more prone to scraping. I had the Kury extenders on my old RK, then put them on my new SG. Keep in mind the SG has a lowered rear suspension, which compounded the problem. The clearance problems that resulted were unacceptable, so I moved the floorboards up a notch, which fixed the problem. I didn't notice the move in terms of my riding position and find the overall result more than acceptable. I have yet to scrape the floorboards since moving them up, although the kickstand still scrapes fairly easily on the left.
As for the extenders, they are a big improvement if you want to keep your legs from hugging the gas tank and air cleaner. If you have a normally suspended FLH, like an FLHR or Dresser with 13" shocks, you may not notice the clearance compromises--but if you do try moving those floorboards up.
