I made a Jiffy-Stand coaster out of a piece round metal 3" X 1/4" thick
with 1/4" square stock welded in a opened V. I made it for my 07 FLHS
for when I parked on fresh asphalt, soft dirt, or sand. Carry it in the left
saddlebag all the time, if the ground looks soft I use it. The Harley one
stays in the shed, the home of the Gray Rhino.

Default How ingenious

I love the simplicity of some items. Budweiser cans and electrical cover plates. How freaking cool is that?

Most of mine were handouts by vendors at rallies. Progressive and Geico were the most frequent.

But I like the electrical box cover the best. Thinner and not plastic plus somewhat shiny.

I lucked out .
They were scrapping a worn out bearing retainer plate at work . It was 1/4 inch thick aluminum . I cut out about 6 4 x 4 plates , belt sanded the edges smooth and rounded the corners .
Work great and total cost to me was 0 dollars .

I did, saw the bars on my roadking turn to the left while I watched from inside a restaurant. Came out to find the entire foot of the stand was under the surface as the bikes weight pushed it laterally.

I keep an electrical box cover in the storage compartment in the lower. Under a buck at Loews.

If you get the octagon and smooth out the eges you can keep it in a jacket or vest pocket.
I use a coaster with a length of nylon string (that's what the hole is for), I kick it under the stand and pull the string to pick it up. All while still sitting on the bike. Makes it easy to lift the bike on and off the coaster without doing a balancing act..
