Default Retro-fit led headlight bulb

I've got a retro-fit led headlight bulb H4. No install instructions. It's the triangle one. My question is should the point be up or down? It will install both ways. On dim it looks fine but on hi-beam it doesn't shoot the light out where it should be. I need to get it installed correct to aim it. Anyone have one, please give me your input. 08 SG bulb is plug and play.

I installed a fuel moto led bulb and after you put the bulb in and lock it down you can spin the bulb to fine tune it so the high beam is in proper position. On mine the flat spot straight is up and the v is pointing straight down at the tire.

- So you are happy with the bulb? You like how it lights up the road?

All of you with the drop in LEDs, what shape is the beam now? The halogen bulb projects a horizontal stripe of light with a decent top cut-off to keep from blinding on-coming drivers. The drop-in LED I tried made a soft edged circular spot. To get good light at a distance, almost half the spot needed to be above the horizon, putting very bright light in the eyes of those coming the other way. Lowering the aim to keep from dazzling the other drivers made a brilliant spot near the bike and almost no usable light at a distance. Because the beam from the LED did not duplicate the shape of the halogen bulb beam, the LED was useless.

Thanks for your input. I've been very disappointed in trying to get this light aimed right. No matter how I adjust it, it just doesn't perform. I think I'm going to look into a whole headlight replacement.

Before you do that. I would consider the Opt7 FluxBeam for $54. Plug and play and no adjustments needed to my headlight aiming. Great focused beam with great coverage. Super bright also. Great product as I have had it for over a year now.

Yeah. I have seen MANY complaints about those crappy bulbs. I hope you come up with a solution that makes you happy.

Sorry for the delay haven't been on here in a while.yes i do love my fuel moto leds.I don't do alot of riding at night but they do light up the road.During the day they are much brighter then the halogen bulbs,i can tell from the lack of cagers pulling out in front of me.For that reason alone its money well spent.
