Default First HD!!!

Howdy yall, I'm looking at purchasing my first Harley and am looking at a 2011 Ultra Glide. Just wanted to see if anyone knows the good, the bad, and the ugly about this bike. It has 42,000 km and is priced at 10K. Just don't want to get screwed on my first Harley. I appreciate any help.

compared the miles to model years it is a good deal but 2011 ? you are talking about 7 years old model hmm i will think about at least 2012-2013 these days. good luck and wish you a good deal and purchase.

I was in your shoes a few months ago. We knew that we wanted a HD, our first, and we wanted an Ultra Classic or Limited....didn't matter. After comparing the differences in years with upgrades, performance, etc., we knew that we wanted to go with a Rushmore (14-16) Ended up finding a '14 Limited at a dealer, 39k miles, and an awesome price. This has been the best purchase we made in a long time. I was specific about wanting to go through a dealer for a number of reasons. 1 - I wanted it to be thoroughly checked out. 2 - I wanted to be able to purchase a warranty. A friend of mine bought a used RK, decided against the warranty, and has had issues resulting in 5 motor tear downs in his garage. At least with the added warranty, I knew that I would be covered if something went wrong for the first couple of years. Also, the newer the year model, the longer you can keep purchasing that warranty. Original warranty is only good for 2 years, and you can purchase up to 10 more after the year of manufacture in increments. Just FYI. Good luck!! Let us know what you end up with.

I think that $10k for an '11 is a really good deal and if my math is correct that's about 26,000 miles. Enjoy
