Default 06 Recall

While talking to another rider at the gas station today, he informed me he received a recall notice on his 2006 Ultra "VOLTAGE REGULATOR".
Anyone hear anything about this, or receive a notice?

Yep got it a while back. Had it done. There is a way to check if you need it done. Has something to do with the part number on it. There is a post in here on it I think. Good Luck

Recieved a notice from the Moco in March I think. Finally got her to the dealer a week ago. They had to replace it too. I guess not all of them are bad. They will check the serial # on the Volt reg. It's worth asking if yours is on of the bad ones.

Affected P&A chrome regulators (p/n 74622-06) installed on certain CVO models. Certain models built beween 8 Nov 05 through 28 Mar 06. The black affected regulator is stamped on the back/or engine side of the regulator and is 74505-06. The chrome is stamped on the left/inside of the mount post. This recall can also will cover over the counter regulators.

I got a letter from the MOCO and had it done in March. You can also go to the Harley site and type in your VIN and it had the info there too.

I had the recall done on my road king last month. The dealer got me right in and it only took about 30 minutes for them to do the swap.

I am waiting on mine. Seems like everyone got theirs done and there are none left for me. So I have to wait till some come in to the dealer.. I have had no problems to this point but I know just as soon as they call and say it is in it will stop me dead and I will have to trailer it to the shop....

Only bikes built with regulators used during certain dates are affected.
