You're not too short. I work with plenty of vertically challenged guys and a woman, and they don't have a problem. The front of the seat is cut narrow, so reaching the ground is easier. Yes, they are probably the most comfortable seats you will ever have.

Always amazed the first mod Police bike owners do is ditching the tractor seat. If you don't have a passenger the tractor seat is the bike's biggest plus!

i whole heartedly agree. I think Mustang makes a passenger pillion, and someone in Canada (I believe) makes a backrest for it. You really cant beat its comfort.
