Default Is there a diffence in a 08 FLHR rear fender and 16 FLHR fender?

I want to remove the rear turnsignal bar on my 16 FLHR,I want to put a Drag Specialties license plate Mount on.The plate mount will bolt on where the turn signal was using the same fender holes. But Drag says its only good up to a 2008.I have looked at other lightbars for a FLHR that they will fit a 1994-2018.Thanks for any info

The '16 tyre is wider than the earlier fender! Buy one of the other lightbars, or pluck up courage and buy the one you prefer then make the darned thing fit! Lots of us do that sort of stuff, it's one of the challenges/rewards of owning a Harley.

As mentioned the fender is wider but that doesn't really matter. What matters is the distance between the bolt holes that secure the light bar to the fender and the shape. I just measured mine and it's approximately 6 1/4 inches center to center. Measure yours for comparison. Then check out the fender shape on the older bikes where the light bar mounts. If it's all the same you're golden.
