I agree on that article. I have never ever babied a new engine. I have ran them on the race track with less than a couple minutes time on them. This 500 or 1000 mile break in is a bunch of BS.The ride home on your new scooter should be the break-in. After that...ride it likeyou stole it.

 

A very good article and I can sure see the reasoning behind it.But in all my years of building motors,have always given them the first 50 or so easy miles.Change the oil and filter,and then start having a little fun.But still being somewhat reasonable until 500 miles anyway.
