I'll be picking up my new 2007 FLHTC in 7 days. My question is: I put an HD emblem on my Yamaha sportbike (which I am keeping). Would it be sacreligious to put a yamaha emblem on my Harley? (PLEASE DONT SHOOT ME)
Kinda reminds me of a friend of mine with a **** that recorded the sounds from a Harley and plays them back over his bike's stereo. Pretty funny to hear, actually. OTOH, putting a Yamaha logo on a Harley wouldn't be something I would do, nor is it something I've seen done before. That alone would make it inticing to some. Everyone has his styling cues and amusement quirks, so I would be the last one to criticize anything you might want to do styling-wise.
One of my co workers is a die hard biker. Has been in the m/c unit for like 14 yrs, goes on iron butt rides all the time, etc etc etc. Needless to say, he is a motorcycle guy, and is proud of it.
Anyway...he bought an 06 Mustang GT. Re-badged it and striped it to look identical to a Shelby Mustang, to include the Cobra emblems on the side, gas cap, etc etc...even bought the chrome SHELBY script to put on the rear deck lid.
Another co worker drives one of those imported scooter things that gets a bazillion miles to the gallon. She went and got some HD Emblems, stuck em on the scooter, and parked next to his "Wanna BeA Shelby". He in turn, had the ***** enough to start givin her crap about it..[:@]
