Default Staryer switch

When I turn the keyswitch the bike starter without using the starter button,also tries to take off even with clutch pulled in ??

Sounds like you've a stuck or shorted starter button.

Ok. Here is my attempt to decipher the question. Have to assume it is a Rushmore bike, but that is not for certain. Turning the ignition switch will not start the bike. You need to use the starter switch on the handle bar. If the bike starts without the starter switch, there is definitely an issue. I remember a recall on some of the Rushmore’s for an issue with lurching if starting cold. Something to do with the clutch, I think. Mine did not have the condition.

what yr,model etc. ? could also be starter solenoid or relay.
