Okay, my parts list is together. Still have a few months before I can start my changes, but before I order my stuff, the rear lights are the international version of the CVO rear lights (amber). Should the wiring harness be able to be spliced into this set up? All I want them for is blinkers, not r/b/t. So, would anyone with electrical know how want to take a stab at an educated guess for me?
I have no idea what the connectors look like. I pulled that photo from a CVO forum for reference.
I won't be near the bike until at least mid March, didn't know if anybody had attempted using any thing from our northern neighbors.
I think you can just looking at the Schematics for RKC and SE.
If I remember right CAN BUS didn't come to touring until 2014 and it is just an input to BCM.
They may have as many as four wires each side, black for ground, three other wires for run/brake/turn. Ranger has you covered for the turns above! Simply don't connect the other two wires of each lamp, whatever colours they prove to be, if they have them.
Before you button it up test the wires from the new light if there’s 4, there might be different LED’s for brake lights so you could combine them on the new light to work with the turn wires. More lights would be brighter.
That would be the red with orange tracer on tge new light. Cap the remaining blue wire.
