I bought the Dyna in 2003 after I retired from the military (AF). At that time the wife didn't show any particular interest in riding with me. After a few months, however, she became very interested and started going on some rides with me. It became apparent that the Dyna was NOT a great 2-up bike (seat size-wise) and that I would have to get something bigger. That's why I got the new Ultra last year and haven't heard a peep out of her since. IMO, a touring bike is the way to go for 2-up riding - it makes all the difference in the world.
