Small tear forming HD seat seam- Loctite Vinyl Plastic Mender work?
Tiny 1/2cm tearing forming at seam on nose of HD seat where stitching is (vinyl not leather, where seat touches gastank). Not really an issue yet, but want to prevent it from becoming one or having to buy a new seat cover.
Anyone tried this product? does it work?
One reason I am looking at this is I can run up the street and buy it at Home Depot. Easy to get.
(Looked at the VLP vinyl tear stuff, but nowhere locally sells it that I can find.)
Input welcome. Looking for simplest solution, do not want to remove seat cover etc
I went through this several months ago. Bit the bullet and got a new skin from June's upholstery. 3-4 times stronger then stock,90$, went through the learning curve and did it myself.
once its time it gets worse fast and fixes seemed like messy bandaids, even the pro work is still going to end up a big mess imo after it keeps poping up everywhere.
And now that I wrapped my mind around the process its ez, I might go back and redo the front(crack in the pan and use a new cover foam) one day... on my time anytime, but it looks great as is.
