I installed a set of Andrews 57H in my Glide and have a tapping from the breather. I know there can be some throttle body noise with certain cams. Is that what I'm hearing? I just want to know if that is "normal" or if I need to be concerned.
It's hard to hear thru a phone or laptop but noticeable when listening on a speakered desktop or earbuds...Thanks in advance for any insight
Although it sounds like tapping, it's actually sound reverberating within your throttle body that escapes out your intake. I don't really understand why it happens with a more extreme cam over stock, but I know that we all get it once we put higher performing cams in. Others can explain "the why" much better than I can.
I'd agree with reversion, the 57 is famous for it. When I had 57s in my Limited with an open backed Ness Big Sucker AC the noise was maddening. I ended up going back to a stock AC.

I’m sorry for the possibility of a dumb question, but, do the anti-reversion baffles in Rineharts help with this? Or is it an entirely different scenario? Everybody’s knowledge has to start somewhere.
