Compared it to another StreetGlide? It it doing more than when it was new? Have you checked your motor mounts?

IF this is legit......

Agree with other posters...HUGE difference when front brake is engaged -vs- not engaged at a stop...totally different in transferring the shaking right up the forks!

Barring that...the motor mounts would be the next thing to look at.

You think the Street Glide shakes.. you should try a Dyna ! ha
My 14 shakes pretty good at idle but not like my Switchback did.
I kinda like it though...

1st to keep in mind is it's normal for many HD's to experience engine shake @ idle, esp with rubber mounted motor so maybe your just used to that, dont know if thats the case or not here.

With that said if you have stock fuel calibration then it can be the excessive lean idle fuel calibration making motor idle rougher then it should.

I had the same issue with my bone stock 09 HD,i installed NightRider Enrichment Resistors to fatten up overall fuel mix a bit and found when testing that the 50% enrichment position smoothed out the idle enough to reduce shaking some @ idle along with also eliminating a slight lean surge it had when at steady state cruise a light throttle position too.

25% position wasnt enough enrichment to help and 75% enrichment position didn't seen to make it run any smoother at idle or run better when riding then 50% enrichment position did which is how in ended up @ that setting/position.

Those 2 improvements overall engine perf were well worth the cost & 1-1.5 loss in mpg post richening up the fuel mix a bit.

But i didnt feel an real noticeable improvement/reduction in heat felt from motor in traffic or at cruise or reduction in oil temp at all post richening fuel mix a bit.

Scott

OMG! My ‘12 shakes a lot a idle too. Does that mean it going to fly apart?

Next, someone will complain their touring bike is hot in stop and go traffic, and there’s no place to put the gas cap at the filling pump.

My guess is that he just got his first HD. Now after the bashing he isn't coming back. I get asked the question a lot by non harley riders or non riders. It always "damn that thing shakes a lot. Doesn't that get old after a while?"

Hell I had to ask a few people and call the stealership after I got my FLHX, I've only ever ridden Softails so when I moved over to the FLHX I was like holy **** is thing going to explode? I guess people think they are being crafty or something. I'm these same guys ask dumass questions everyday.

Yeah trade it in for a pink metric girls bike. You will be happy and we can see you coming and keep as much distance as possible.

Time to go back to your grandma's basement. Too much sunlight is harmful.

I once had a Goldwing and I was in a parade line next to a Harley touring bike. I looked over at his bike and saw the handlebars shaking quite a bit. That's when it occurred to me that he was on a real motorcycle....and I was on a two wheeled car. I got rid of the Goldwing and bought a motorcycle.
