My police bike didnt come with the factory alarm ,I had the dealer install the factory security system, smart siren2,pager/receiver 2,2 key fobs. I bought the whole package at zanotti's for $325.00 shipped. the dealer installed/programed the wholepackage for 1 hr labor, while my bike was there being dyno tuned. was just easier for me while the bike was already there.
Are you talking about the audible siren for your factory alarm? Although I should not have been, I was very suprised when I purchased my '07 Road King and was told that it had an alarm system but the audible siren costs extra. How much is the audible siren?
The alarm/siren is around $90-100. if you don't get it, you will have a deaf mute, who blinks his turn signals to alert you that someone is screwing with your bike.
if you get the alarm, get the smart II alarm that has a short antenna wire attached. once installed, you can get a pager from HD that will alert you up to 1/2 mile away that your bike is being moved around.
I have a 07â Ultra Classic with the alarm system already installed. I just want to add the siren II since this part failed to come with the system. My bike has a PCIII installed. I was curious if I need to disconnect the battery for the siren install and if I do disconnect the battery will I need to reprogram the PCIII?
How difficult is it to install the Smart Siren II kit?
Just wondering before I buy.......thanks.
I don't know what year your bike is, but it is simple regardless, We just installed one on an '08 Ultra this weekend and the connection on the '08 Ultra has moved to the left side. The connector is on the lower left corner of the fuse block and there is a spot for the module in the left end of the assembly.
