Default Hammock dimensional differences

Anyone no what the dimensional differences are between the HD hammock bucket(52000176) and the standard hammock (52000003A)? They both are supposed to fit my 17 RGU. Looking at both right now. Have a heated hammock on my 09 EGC and really like it. Was thinking of swapping the stock one on my 17 RGU. Thanks in advance for any info. Mike

My understanding (as I just ordered one a couple days ago) is that the 176 is meant for tour pack bikes and the 03A is meant for a bike without. It's confusing as both are listed as compatible. (I have a 16 RGU). I got the 176. As far as dimensions it lists. "Seat width 17"; passenger pillion width 15.0"

The passenger part of the seat is taller on the one made for 14+ models with the tour pack.

From just looking at pictures the 176 bucket style looks like its deeper in the rider area. The lumbar area looks higher than on the 03A model. So I guess that would mean the passenger area is higher. The heated hammock I installed on my 09 EGC sat lower and subsequently my adjustable back rest hit me too high even at its lowest setting. I ended up re-bending the removable bracket and putting kind of a C-shaped bend in it so it conformed to the front part of the seat better and wasnt pulling on the seams of the slot in the seat as bad . Worked great for my fused L3-L4 vertabrae. Mike

I have the 176 cause at the time it looked like it had a deeper bucket. I use an adjustable backrest, modifying the post to lower the pad to fit the curved part of my back. The pad actually touches the top of the seat, see my sig picture.
