Has anyone used the slide under the bike motorcycle jacks to do service work such as oil, primary fluid, and transmission fluid changes. Will it obstruct the drain plugs on touring bikes like the roadking? Thanks in advance for feedback. Im guessing it will.
Dont know what the others mean when they say it will block everything but, I have a J&S and it allows access to all the things you need.
Meh, they both have four lift arms and the bike sits on two cross beams, all of fairly similar dimensions. That's pretty similar when it comes to getting in the way for an oil change. At least to me. ;-)
Not arguing that the J&S isn't superior, it is.
You can fab up a pan for the HF jack that sits there just like the J&S pan does. Aluminum foil works, but just barely.
Probably the best access to be had is with the likes of a side lift jack. They're interesting tools. Though at this point, if I had to choose between a side lift jack and a lift table, I'd take the table.
I have both a lift table and a jack. The lift table with a heavy bike can get you in trouble fast.Wet Shoes, Anyone that's had a lift table knows what I mean. Cleaning, oil changes I use the J&S. Also check the lowest height of your jack and do a comparison. The little things with a jack or lift table matter.
I don't have any problems using the jack. Having the bike vertical vs leaned on the side stand makes it a bit easier to fill the primary. And the jack raises the bike enough so I can work sitting on a wheeled stool and puts the bike at a nice working height for me.

Had a HF lift table and got rid of it for that very reason. I never used it except for winter mods. The jack is just way more convenient and useful.
