Thanks!

Does your 3/4 helmet maybe have a visor that is catching air? Sorry, that's all I can think of but maybe after a bit more coffee...

No visor on the HJC 3/4 helmet. I see a Road Glide in your signature. Have you ever had the issue with a batwing fairing?
Thanks!

I hold my hand above the front top portion of my helmet and can feel the turbulent air. When my hand blocks it, the buffeting stops. You think this still might be caused from below???
Thanks!

Thanks, will give it a try later. That is why I wondered if a real low shield might help.

Could you see if the HDshop has one you could test ride?

I tried and have a 12 inch and still get buffeting, however less than the shorter shields. How tall are you?
Thank you!

Some has to do with my helmets. I like a visor on it, which tends to catch air. I also run open faced (no face shield), which also catches the air.

In many states if your fairing/windshield is tall enough, you don't need to have a faceshield on your helmet or wear glasses. Most of the time, this is my preference.
Ditto, except for the visor. Thanks!

These are what works,Baker sells them also and they are adjustable. I have been using them since they came out on a 2009 Ultra.

That is an option too from what I have read if the turbulent wind is coming from below. I think in my case though, I will try to find the aftermarket ones that are painted black. My FLHTK is black with chromed forks. Think that might look good too.
Thank you!

Please let us know how that works for you as well please.

Thanks for the idea. Are they secure when riding or do the move around or flex with the wind if it is strong?
Thank you!
