So many things to consider when talking tires. Riding style, road surfaces, tire pressures and other endless variables. I have always used Dunlops. Never had a problem with weather conditions or wear. The 402s on the rear would easily go 18,000 mi. With good tread still showing. The new407s and8s at 12,000 still look like new. I'm in Fl and ride in the rain without problems. I'm not implying Dunlops are better than others just what my experience has been. I try to limit heavy stop and go traffic. Much of my riding is on relatively open roads. It seems to me the tire thing is much like cams and oil. Each person has their own preference. I always like to read these threads to see what others are doing with their bikes.
