I call BS on this, OP can't be that stupid to fall for some chit like this. This is like the bankers in Africa holding your millions and request checking acct and routing numbers.
Theres tons of suckers out there. If these scams didn't work do you think the scammers would keep doing it for this long?
What happened to human decency? A fellow rider who's obviously trusting is out money because he probably got scammed. He tries to figure out different ways to find him while warning others. He comes here, the largest online Harley community, as one of those avenues and he gets some crap from some of you. Gone are the days of giving someone the benefit of the doubt.......it's sad.
Thanks for the heads up OP. I'll keep my ears open as I have a lot of friends who live and ride in VA.

I've purchased and sold many items through this site and have never had a problem. I'm sure there are more than a few unscrupulous members here, but ( so far ) all of my transactions have been positive.

You have read way too much into people's posts. Yes, the OP has probably lost his money. But yes, everyone can look out for the fraudulent thief. But stop the lecturous crap. If you are old enough to have a Harley and old enough to be sending $600 through the mail by check, then you SHOULD be smart enough to know better. If this is the worst that happens to the OP, then it's a great lesson. Just my two cents and moving on and leaving this thread to those with more noble qualities than I.
I've bought thousands of dollars worth of HD parts from Craigslist and other sites. Some folks won't ship unless they have the money in hand and they don't do PP. It's a risk for sure and luckily I've been OK. I hope the OP gets it settled.
I hope the OP gets his bags too, but I sure don't see anything wrong with busting his chops a little. Hell, if I did something stupid I would expect no less.
Besides, he hasn't responded even once to this thread and this is his 1 and only post to this site so its likely he was either messing with us or just came here to bitch.
