So, where do you plug the SERT in on the Ultra Classic? What all has to be removed?

Remove the right saddlebag, then the right side cover. There is a data link clipped to the right of the ECM. The cable with the serial connector end plugs into the data link. If you are wondering where to plug the SERT into, it may be that more time should be spent reviewing the SERT's Owner's Manual because it is possible to screw up the use of the SERT resulting in a corrupted ECM totally disabling the bike.

Thanks for the info. I will read the manual when I get it. I should have been a little clearer. I am ordering a SERT and do not have anything to read yet.

Good for you!!! The SERT was designed for tuning the bike without a dyno by an owner; if you read the Owner's Manual a couple of times you will be able to make safe adjustments to the ECM, ride the bike with the SERT connected and do data runs to see if the changes favorably changed the bike's performance or not. If you have or acquire a Daytona Twin Scan II+, you wil be able to collect air/fuel data and be able to do what is done on a dyno only instead of the rear wheel turning a drum on a dyno, your rear wheel will be turning on a road.

Good luck.

Don't forget to order the cables with it, they no longer come with the SERT.

Good point - will probably order from Chicago unless someone can recommend a better source. They are considerably cheaper than my local dealer.

Comes with the unit when you purchase the SERT.
