Digital Odometer WTF!

Digital Odometer WTF!
I left the house this morning with 5797 on the odometer and when I got to work it said 5903. I live 6 miles from work and it only took 10 minutes to get here so I know I didn't get in any extra riding time so why would an electronic odometer gain 100 miles. Could one of the LCD segments be burn out already?

Yeah you probably hit the 2nd. trip counter.
Hopefully you are aware though that there is a mystical time/space/warp defect that occurs with many HD riders wherein we go out for a 10 mile errand and somehow when we get home the bike has thousands of miles on it, we need a shave and bath badly, the kids are grown and the wife is pizzed off about something.

That or ya misread the initial odometer readin'. Happens ta me from time ta time - ah git a vehicle allowance based on mileage, so ah read mah odometer in the truck twice a day. Sometimes ah catch mahself havin' misread the lcd display....

I will bet you its your error, those digital odometers are set up so that what you precieve is impossible to happen. To many goverment restrictions on correct keeping of mileage for there to be a way to alter mileage other than by a person with the equipment and skill to go into the unit and recalabrate it.
