hey guys, looking at buying a bike with 103 motor. I read where the compression should be (min) 110psi with the decompression connectors or 175psi without. Question is, Ive never heard of decompression connectors. Is this something that is electrically engaged? How would I know if the bike has such device?
So when doing the test, does the electric system have to be on to lower the compression?
Ive done compression tests before but never heard of decompression connectors. Whats the procedure for doing this test then? thanks.
Ya know, I too have never heard of "decompression connectors' either.
I have, on the other hand, heard of 'compression releases'. I have also heard of 'automatic compression releases'...AKA 'ACRs'...which are what I understand that 103 and up stock Twin Cams are equipped with.
