Question broken Intercom/CB ****?

Posted on the electrical forum but got no answers

I was riding yesterday listening to music and all of the sudden the music would stop. I noticed the intercom (SQ+/-, PTT) button popped out (left hand switch). I got home removed the assembly. Button/**** looks OK but not sure if broken or how to put it back?

I don't really use the Intercom/CB so I could just cover the hole if is too complicated/expensive to fix.

Including pictures (bike is a 2009 FLHTCU)

Thanks for your input!

It's probably not that complicated to change out the switch. You'll likely need soldering skills though.
The procedure should be in the electrical manual for your bike and maybe even in the fsm. If you want to work on your bike I'd suggest having the fsm at a minimum and the electrical and parts books for full repair.
I've not delved into the actual switch pack yet so no direct experience. I'd think you could get the part at one of the online parts places like board tracker or maybe a whole switch pack off a salvage site on ebay.

Thanks for the info. I have no electrical skills, I was thinking more of Crazy Glue LOL

I really don't want to pay $$ for something I don't use nor need. I will stop by the stealer to get an estimate and most like end up sticking a plug to cover the hole.

Sure ... If you're not going to use it again ... It'll dry black and be fine.

You didn't say if the radio started working again. You may not use PTT but if affects the radio it could do it again.
I would not squirt silicone into the switch pack. Tape it or tale it apart and stick something inside. If the radio works and function is unimportant then super glue might work just fine.

Trust me ... the silicone will not hurt a thing as it is non-conductive ... As the OP stated he's not going to use it again ... If you're going to take it apart just buy the part and fix it properly
