2006 FLHPI Fuelpak help
Lo and behold, upon taking off the right side cover I found a Fuelpak already in place. Hah, guess I have 2 now! Current setting is Mode 1 Value 0 from who knows how long ago, and it runs a bit warmer (but sounds a bit healthier) with the new cleaner. Pipes are marked 64910-99, which seems to be a discontinued model. Engine looks like a stock TC88. Anyone have any luck with various FP settings for a similar setup?
Also, where else should I be looking at for surprises? I'm the fourth owner (local county sheriff, some guy with terminal cancer, and my buddy I got it from). It has about 7000 miles on it, and I've put on the last 300 or so. I did find some sort of garage opener thingy, too.
What gets me is that we took this thing to a local HD dealership for a safety inspection and once-over. I asked what the garage door opener thing was before I figured it out, and they didn't know. They also didn't mention the pipes or Fuelpak when I asked if there had been any changes from stock. I asked them because the police seat had been replaced with a regular solo seat, the pucks and hinges were fancier than stock, and I was curious about what all had been done.
Biker Bob's HD in Taylor, Michigan did the inspection if anyone is curious.
I had a fuel pak on my 08 road king ...for about 2 weeks lol. It ran better but I could get either the bottom end to run good or the top end..i could never get them both running great at the same time. If you email them and tell them your problems they will give you some changes to make in certain values. They're very secretive of what value controls what , I'll attach a little info that I have from when I was fighting the war lol. I can't remember which value it is but there is one for adjusting the fuel in the no throttle position...which will help with the popping. I highly recommend e-mailing v&h they will help you get it close. I just didn't have the patience to mess with it and I love working on my bike. But if want a third one I have a practically brand new one for an awesome price...just kidding good luck getting straightened out
