Default Handle bar change

A friend of mine put mini ape hangers on his 2016 RoadGlide Ultra. He has offered me a good deal on his stock take offs. Will the stock handlebars on a 2016 Road Glide Ultra fit a 2012 Ultra Classic. They look like I would be putting 8 inch mini ape hangers on. This is a poor man’s solution to the pinched nerve sensation in the shoulder you get with the stock handle bars on an Ultra.

I think they would fit. If you are going to do the work though you should just get something some bars that will be a more noticeable difference from what you have now. Just my .02.

I suffered a lot of discomfort with my Glide when I first got it. After a while I realised I was reaching a little to get to the grips and after several attempts finally managed to adjust them 'just so'. Been happy ever since. If you haven't done so yet, try altering your current bars first. As they move towards or away from you the angle of the grips also changes - a fascinating thing geometry! If you swap bars you will have to do that adjustment in any event.

The stock rise on your bike is 8". You wouldn't be gaining anything I don't think,

I do believe the width of the bars at the bottom would not allow them to fit into your ultra. The batwings have a larger area in which the bars must fit though the inner fairing.

If they would fit, they'd look weird as hell.

I called the parts department at a local dealer and was told that because of the difference between the batwing and the frame mounted fairing of the Road Glide they would not work. Thanks for all the input guys.
