Hi. My 1992 Heritage softail (bought in USA) has a "root beer" colour. Is there any code for it? Thanks Markus, Switzerland

 

You can usually find the paint code on a tag located under the fuel tank. You need to remove the tank in order to see it. The tag should be in the top of the tunnel that goes over the backbone of the frame.

Not sure if someplace like PPG can help you.

But with Google i might have found out the name of the color (Mirage Orange Pearl)

Mirage Orange doesn't sound much like Root Beer (which is brown) to me.

 

Sorry ... that's where I have found them before. As mentioned, Not sure the Orange is the same color ... the Root Beer should be more of a brown.

 

Looked in my data book ... no listing for paint colors for 1992 ... 1991 and 1993 both list a Wineberry Pearl ... 1993 also list a Mandarin Orange ... no paint codes listed, only color names.
