Default detach passenger backrest help please

I have been looking and looking and don't really see what I want.

I have an 08, that means old detach hardware, not the new stuff.

Took off the tourpak, want a pass. backrest for the wife. Bought one, way to short. Like beltloops when she sits on the bike is all the higher it goes.

She is wanting something taller. middle of the back height. I can't find one. There are a bunch for the newer bikes.

I don't wanna spend $500 buying a newer sissy bar and an older sissy bar to have to make one.

What have you guys found for the older frame detach for a tall sissy bar? And where?

Looks like this one. When I put the stock 2up seat back on the bottom of the backrest pad is basically even with the top of the seat.

And the descriptions say this is the standard height which I thought would have been taller.

I don't have a problem putting something together if I can find the sideplates and the uprights that I want but haven't been able to nail that down either.

I have a lower seat for when I am solo but wife likes the stock seat. She may just have to suffer for the 2 or 3 short ride poker runs that she will actually ride along.

She isn't really into riding no matter how comfy it is so I selfishly don't really try too hard. But I certainly don't wanna listen to her complain during the ride.

Honestly the difference is 2". I am not shelling out almost $200 for 2 inches. I'll leave that the ladies at the bus station.
