Default RE: Thundermax or DTT??

Thanks to most of the guys in this post I have sold a bunch of both, and here is how I see it.......take a professional digital photographer, he is going to use Photoshop for everthing, cause it gives him the most ability to do all he is capable of doing....now take the hobby photographer who just wants to shoot pics and resize them for the web, he doesnt want or need the super ability of photoshop, just wants his pics resized.

DTT=Photoshop...bigger learning curve, offers widest range of tuneability
TMAX=Windows Imager Viewer, little or no learning curve, easy installation, plug and go, fits 90% of the market

NEITHER unit is bad...both are awesome units that do the job, each has it's strenghts and weaknesses. For exotic builds, no question, DTT, for anything up to a 103,or a BIGZippers or a Jim's motor, tmax is a really nice working, simple solution.

Same size wrench and socket will both fit on the same size bolt, sometimes one or the other is better for the task at hand.

Hey....I'm just saying

Had D.T.T. installed about 100miles ago and it does run better every time I ride it. The hot weather in tucson was the main reason for the change. I will be leaving for Yellowstone on 7-4 so I hope the milage does not suffer too bad. So far very happy with the D.T.T.

That's my biggest concern............pinging from lack of timing adjustability.

I know they will both tune the AFR equally, but it's the other bells & whistles that I'd like to know about.

I'm tired of dumping money on dyno tunes only to have it waived useless by changing something on the build, if I would have saved my dyno tune money it would have payed for the DTT easily.

Why would you do that?

Isn't that the point of these systems.........constant tuning?

they will reach a point where the tuning is minimal... Unless your doing altitude changes or mods there really isnt really any need. it will remove the calculation functions and dedicate itself to maintaining the final settings. there is nothing wrong with that but what Brian hasn't figured out yet is when he goes to the rockies with the altitude changes he will be turning it back on.... LOL or wanting to throw on a carb.....

Still waiting to hear back from HQ Bry... ill let you know when I do and we will make plans....

tuned is tuned....bottom line....i been in the rockies on 550 in a snowstorm on my chop with a carb...it loaded up at idle, ran great with throttle of any input...worst can happen IMO is it'll load some when idle'n and maybe pop, maybe not...everone's always lookin for the exact best tune....its a window, i'm in it...at least we'll know next week somethin new on the DTT

I see, but I still think I would leave it on auto-tune to keep self adjusting.

I think from a user-friendly point of view...............I'm leaning toward the Thundermax system.

A few friends of mine all have the Thundermax systems in their bikes, so if I need help they will be able to provide it.

Can't wait to get it and be done with useless dyno tunes................should save me some $$$ over time.
