Okay, there is plenty of info on them, but very few pics of bars installed. Recently had guyon's canal/carpal tunnel surgery on my hand and would like to install something that straightens out my wrists more. If anybody would be so kind as to post a pic or two and tell me what bars you have, it would be greatly appreciated. Want to install 8 or 10" but nothing higher since my plan is to stay below the fairing. It's mostly for rake on my wrists more than anything else. Otherwise all this surgery will be for nothing.
I wouldnt be so timid about going above the fairing. That's what gloves were invented for. If its above 65 degrees I wear fingerless.
If it were me, it would be more important to have the proper height bars for touring comfort. Its possible that by coincidence they would be below the fairing, but I would optimize for bar height.

I would find the bar height that is most comfortable and worry about height second. I've been doing a lot of riding this week with temps in the 30's, my hands are above the fairing and with insulated riding gloves they haven't been cold at all.
Height doesn't really seem to be an issue. Problem I'm having is all the stock bars are angled to much. I've looked at alot of the "mini" apes and the angles seem to be much straighter. Unfortunately they don't give a degree in most cases and there are few pictures installed. That's why I've asked people to post what they have in the mini category.
Okay, the 10" all look good. Leaning toward khromewerks. So the only real issue is what else do I need for parts? Some people say the stock cables will work, others say they won't. Guessing I'll need the harness extention, but it that's a minimal cost for the most part. I don't know what the differences are from a 2013 FLHTCU to the newer models. If anybody has something reasonably close and done a 10" bar of any kind, what did you need to make it work?
