Default ABS light blinking

The light blinks, and I think the pads may beed replacing, because the pedal is stiff now. Front pads are good.

Sounds like a ABS HCU unit gone bad. These are the symptoms..

Good luck. Harley pulled them off the shelves and made them unavailable to the public.

What year is your bike?

+1 HCU last reported not available to general public, dealers only. Guess due to the recalls.

Soooo, a little more info would be good. Like year, mileage, etc. The light will blink as the bike sits, is this while in motion that it blinks? I certainly would want to do more testing just before ordering parts. Other issues to cause an ABS light consist of crimped, broken wire which was common in some 08’s, bearing issue, etc.

Could also be an ABS bearing failure. My rear bearings went and trashed the ABS sensor. Also gave me vibration in the brake pedal.

...the pedal is stiff now.
My guess is HCU. He has a 2008 FLHTCUSE.

I was mostly going by the stiff pedal statement. Certainly don't just shotgun it with replacement parts. At least the HCU can now be changed without the other part of it. Cuts the price from about $1000 to around $400 for the parts.

I wish my light would have blinked when my lever thought about going stiff.
