just bought my first harley 6 weeks ago, 03 road king. 5000 mi. rh exhaust, sounds great, it also has dynajet fuel comander under the side cover, just what does it do?

 

EFI tuner...it allows a downloadable program to be set to the specs of your bike and adjust fuel curves per rpm and throttle position. Do a search on it as there is a lot of info on this site about them.

 

Your dynajet fuel commander is the same thing we would call a chip in a car. You program it to enrichen the fuel and change timining for front and rear cylinders. Harleys run lean out of the factory and tend to run hotter on a lean mixture. When changing pipes and air cleaner your need to richen the air/fuel ratio to the injectors. Thats what the fuel commander does in a nut shell.
