Soooo, you stopped at a yellow light and think you almost got hit because you didn't have enough lighting?? Am I missing something?
Im 100% all for being seen. Let that be known. If a traffic light is on the verge of changing and I am close, I'm going through it 99% of the time.... to keep from being smoked by someone who's wanting to do the same thing. I've done the same thing you did. Stopped when the light was real close and came inches from being taken out by a half ton truck swerving around me beating the light. There is enough overlap in most traffic patterns that the only way you will be in a hot intersection is if you flat out run a red after it's changed by several seconds. Getting across a stripe while a light is changing is no harm IMO.
Im not trying to MMQB your close call. That happens too much, but consider the fact that your lighting may not be the sole reason you had a close call to begin with. I'm glad you stayed shiny side up, and are able to tell us about it. Ride safe.

I understand what your saying, but I wasn't just entering the intersection when it turned yellow. I was back a ways. Tailgating is a specialty where I live even though its a relatively small city. A lot of them work for the government or government contractors - God help them if they ever have to actually bust ***. What I didn't mention is afterwards I switched lanes to let the gal pass me, and she promptly ran the next red light!
I've gone through a few yellow lights and had drivers behind me run through what I know was a red light . Everyone's in a hurry and lights don't mean anything unless your caught. Be careful , ride safe.
Looks good Aussie! Ive been considering upgrading my rears for the same reason you did, FLTRX just doesnt have much noticeable in the rear. Sounds to me like you and I live in the same town, drivers after 1700 are either aggressive or distracted come off site.
here's mine, i've added some since this pic, there's 25 bullet lights back there now. i have one bracket made for 5 more going on the side where the square lights are, the other side will be made shortly. that will take it to 35 bullets. i have 4 lights on the bench so i need to find 6 more swap meet specials.
